Infracast Senior Developer

Infracast provide mobile messaging services to a predominately enterprise customer base, including services to five of the largest UK retail banks. I am responsible for specifying, designing, constructing and supporting enterprise level middleware and websites for their EMX platform, handling 30 million messages a month.
I was the project lead of EMX which included: responsive site design; new UI and UX, including SPA pages using Knockout.js; improved application performance (optimised page life cycle, data caching, SQL optimisation); optimised client side UI (pre-fetching, minimisation, bundling); redesigned information architecture; accessibility; multi language; multi browser compatibility including Internet Explorer 8.
Other projects include:
- Software to manage the routing of millions of SMS messages a day across new and legacy systems.
- Design and development of an SDK used by banks to create mobile applications across different platforms.
Due to Infracast's high profile clients and the data we were trusted with, security is of paramount importance in all work undertaken. Therefore, products are independently audited, and we there was a strong focus on web application security training and testing.

Jacobs Engineering Senior Developer

I was the Lead Developer of the UK .Net group responsible for Classic ASP and ASP.Net based development within the UK. I specialised in using Microsoft tools to design and develop both web based and Win 32 applications with a SQL Server backend.
I specialised in developing internal applications to support the HR, finance, legal, IT, engineering and management teams but I also delivered projects for external clients including Masterfoods and the EEC.
